"Everything starts as a seed."
I heard this years ago, when a young lady's eyes were trying to trap me. (Proverbs 6:25) I had to change the "environment of our interaction" and proceeded to prayerfully give her a Word that I believed was from God, From then on, everything changed. She knew that I was about my Father's business. The seed of her eyes mattered. The seed of my words mattered more.
Godly leaders understand the power of seeds. Your life is a seed. Your words, your interactions, your thoughts, your resources, your behavior, and your attitude are all seeds. As a leader, when you consider these seeds, ask yourself, what am I planting in the hearts and minds of those following me? For, you will reap what you sow.
Jesus is the '"firstborn of many brothers". He is the first seed of a new breed of human who carry the life and ways of God inside their hearts, reflected in all of life. He is the one whom The Father planted, as it were, in the earth to start a new Kingdom of righteous, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, He is a new creature..." (II Corinthians 5:17)
Jesus is no ordinary seed. He is extraordinary. The best. Nothing and no one can compare. He is the Father's best. The Father has "sown" Jesus and will reap a family of people just like Him. (Romans 8:29) He did not compromise on the seed,
Leaders do not compromise on their seed. They understand that the first thing matters a lot. So, watch the first things your say or do in the context of a new client or employee relationship or new project. Aggressively and excellently invest in the seeds, because:
If it's in the seed, it will be in the fruit.
